Health and Safety Please contact student.services@biograd.co.uk  if you have any mental or physical disabilities or conditions that will affect health and safety procedures in the laboratory, including:

· pregnancy

· breast-feeding mothers

· immunosuppressed patients

· allergies

· any disorders that affect motor skills, sight and hearing.

The above list is not exhaustive and you should contact student.services@biograd.co.uk  if you have any concerns in this regard, prior to attendance on any course. We will always try to make alterations to the course to accommodate individual circumstances. However, in all circumstances, we will require advanced notice to prepare Risk Assessments and order in alternative reagents. There will be times where we may not be able to accommodate such requests. However, every effort will be made to adapt our protocols accordingly. It is the responsibility of the student or parent of under 18’s to inform us well ahead of the course start date. Failure to inform us of such disabilities or health conditions prior to registration may lead to disbarment from your course without refund. Biograd Ltd. accept no liability for any injury or harm resulting from any condition that you have not declared.

Any declaration of any such disability or condition will be treated in the strictest confidence and in line with GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulations 2018).

Complaint Management Policy

BioGrad is committed to providing high-quality training to all of our students. In order to do this, we ask students for their expectations at the start of each course and will always try to meet these expectations as we teach. Feedback is also requested from participants throughout each course. If students do not wish to voice complaints to their lecturer, students are advised to speak to the Student Services team at any point.

We recommend that any complaints be dealt with as they arise, rather than at the end of the course, as we will always try to make alterations based on feedback.

Complaints and expressions of dissatisfaction with our service will always receive a positive response from an appropriate manager. We listen to your complaints, treat them seriously, and learn from them so that we can continuously improve our service.

Courtesy and respect

You can expect to be treated with courtesy, respect and fairness at all times. We expect that you will also treat BioGrad staff dealing with your complaint with the same courtesy, respect and fairness.

We will not tolerate threatening, abusive or unreasonable behaviour by any complainant. Such situations are rare, however, should they happen, we will cease communication with the complainant immediately and will inform the appropriate authorities as necessary.

Course Booking and cancellation policy

BioGrad has a Course Booking policy to allow students transparency when booking our courses. The below policy will apply to all students booking courses with BioGrad from 01/03/2022.

Now that we have more stability around COVID-19 with a lift in restrictions, we have reviewed our booking policy which comes into effect from 01/03/2022.

· Changes in course dates must be made more than 28 days before course start date and are dependent upon availability.

· All deposits and course payments are non-refundable.

· Courses may occasionally be subject to cancellation or transfer of date. In these situations, you will be notified no less than 7 days prior to course commencement, where possible.

· Cancellations can arise at short notice due factors that are beyond our control such as illness.

· Course dates are transferrable for a £50 transfer fee.

Please be advised that if you have booked accommodation with Quest and you change your course dates, you may have to pay for accommodation if cancellation is less than 4 weeks and this should be taken up with Quest Apartments. If you need further guidance, please contact student.services@biograd.co.uk


We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties

Data Protection

Student registration details, lecturer comments and photographs will be kept on file for 3 years after the course start date. This allows us to provide references to potential employers and universities for up to 3 years after you have attended a BioGrad course. If you do not wish for BioGrad to keep a record of your attendance, please inform Rachel Dawson on rachel.dawson@biograd.co.uk or call  0151 482 9695 and we will remove your registration details from our system. Please be aware that we will no longer be able to provide references or confirm your attendance on any courses after your details are deleted.
